Recreation Board

Townships have the power to provide, improve, maintain and regulate public parks, playgrounds, playing fields and recreation centers. In Walker Township a Park and Recreation Board was formed to function in an advisory capacity to the Township Supervisors in determining the amounts and kinds of recreation most needed by its citizens. The Board also has the responsibility to equip, operate and maintain recreation facilities.

Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month (except December) at 7:00 PM in the Walker Township Municipal Office. Public comment and participation is always welcome and encouraged.
